RFID VERIFICATION

WIS RFID verification solutions cover the two main RFID frequencies:

High or Long Range RFID

Range delivers 1-3 metres. Ideal for lift verification and automated collection systems

Low or Short Range RFID

Range delivers 5-10 centimetres, covering all frequencies (125-134 kHz). Ideal for lift verification, credit control, accurate weighing and manual/helper operated collection systems.

RFID is the most accurate, however its accuracy depends on proper implementation. It requires a lot of management on a daily basis to maintain accuracy (each cart delivery needs to be scanned and assigned to the customer’s account). When RFID verification is explained to service customers, it is rarely disputed.

CAMERA VERIFICATION

The WIS camera system uses machine learning and it knows when a bin is being emptied. By using GPS data, it then ties that lift to a customer / property. Camera Verification is ideal for side or front-loading collection systems.

We believe cameras are the future of verification. It is quite easy to implement, delivers accurate addresses and requires no management to keep it up to date. A big plus is a recording/picture tied to a GPS position. This level of verification is difficult to argue against in relation to customer disputes.

MANUAL VERIFICATION

Using our driver apps, drivers can confirm collections, number of containers emptied and incomplete collections. Manual verification by the driver is the simplest replacement of paper sheets/notes. It will deliver good savings when plugged into your billing system, but the downside is that it is prone to human error. Example; when a driver forgets or inputs the wrong information.

Cost Impact

Can be expensive as each bin requires a chip, each route requires chip readers and ongoing maintenance

At 1 camera per truck, this is not going to push any budget and WIS see this as the most cost effective solution

Manual verification is the least expensive option as it is performed by the service crews on route.

Reliability

Once set up, this RFID is simple to use while delivering reliable and accurate results

Cameras deliver unrivalled reliability. They are configured to detect all bins types, record every lift and location and always assign the correct lift the right customer.

Prone to error. Completely dependent on performance of service crew. Results can be disputed.

Reporting

Will display lift data and can also provide image of scanning locations.

Shows actual video verification. Can provide reports on number of times a bin was emptied and location data.

Reporting is basic but can be configured to pull available data such as gps location and time.
